Currently working on her debut album, Nadia studied jazz singing with Fionna Duncan and Sophie Bancroft in Scotland and with Clare Foster, Anita Wardell, Tina May, Ian Shaw, Laura Zakian, Kai Hoffman, Angela Elliott, Francine Luce and Claire Martin in England. She also attended a Barry Harris Workshop in London.
Nadia has performed in Glasgow, Westcliff-on-Sea, Chelmsford and London with: Jim Clelland (p); Ronnie Rae (b); John Rae (d); Hilary Cameron (p); Viktor Obsust (b); Bob Stuckey (p); Ian Shaw (p); Michael Garrick (p); Pete Churchill (p); Simon Colam (p); Phil Robson (g).
Nadia won the Vicky Paterson's Award over 24 students at the Fionna Duncan's Students Concert, Glasgow Jazz Festival 2003.
Between October 2004 and December 2005 Nadia ran the JazzLab, her own jazz club in Southend-on-Sea. She formed and put on stage 9 different bands and also ran regular vocal and instrumental workshops. |
